RETRO CARROMS - RULES AND REGULATIONS

1. Game Format:

   • The event will follow the normal point-based carrom rules.

   • Each team will consist of two members.

2. Time Limit:

   • Each game will have a maximum time limit of 6 minutes.

3. Winning Criteria:

   • The team with the highest points at the end of 6 minutes will be declared the winner.

4. Scoring:

   • Standard carrom scoring rules apply:

   • Queen (Red Coin): 5 points (only if covered).

   • White Coin: 2 point each.

   • Black Coin: 1 points each.

5. Queen Rule:

   • The Queen can only be claimed if it is covered by a coin of the same player in the subsequent turn.

6. Turn Order:

   • Each team member will alternate turns throughout the game.

7. Fouls:

   • Points will be deducted for fouls, such as:

   • Pocketing the striker (-1 point).

   • Incorrect positioning of coins or striker (-1 point).

8. Time Violation:

   • If the game exceeds 6 minutes, no further moves will be allowed. The score at that moment will be final.

9. Fair Play:

   • Players must adhere to the spirit of the game and follow the referee’s decisions, which will be final and binding.

10. Tie-Breaker:

    • In case of a tie, a sudden-death round will determine the winner. Each player gets one chance to pocket a coin; the team with the highest points in this round wins
